Dear Tumblr,
It’s not you, it’s me. I’ve enjoyed our time together but I’m afraid we can’t hang out as much anymore. Between Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram, I really only have so much time, energy and headspace to keep up with everything. I love your easy-to-use interface, the stylish flexibility of your designs, and the functionality of reposting what catches my eye. However i just can’t continue as we have been - I can’t put enough thought into our interactions. You may feel that I’ve put you at the bottom of the list in my social networking world; well, that is indeed true. And yes, I’ve distanced myself a little in recent weeks, maybe to make it easier on both of us, but the time has now come to make the break. I’m not saying it’s forever; maybe there will be a day when we can pick things up again. Maybe I’ll be able to contribute more to the relationship then, maybe we’ll be able to make it work. I’ll not disable my account or remove the current content. But for now, it’s goodbye. Thanks for the memoirs…
